Dr. Hrabowski will moderate an important conversation at the 2nd Annual African Americans in Health Care Awards presented by Kaiser Permanente and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum on Thursday, February 25, 1-2:30 p.m. The honorees include UMBC alumnae Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett and Dr. Letitia Dzirasa, as well as two other leaders.
At this Black History Month annual event, honorees will be recognized for their tireless
efforts to alleviate community burdens caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Join the honorees as we show gratitude for their service and learn about their important
contributions to health care, including community wide pandemic responses and the
development of a COVID-19 vaccine. This event will also feature a conversation between Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett, lead scientist in the development of the Moderna vaccine, and
Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, President of University of Maryland Baltimore County.
The event will be held virtually via Zoom:
