Annual Employee Sexual Misconduct and Harassment Training
Due December 11, 2020
UMBC and the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) are dedicated to providing an inclusive, equitable, safe working and learning environment for all community members. OEI thanks you for your partnership in this endeavor.
Out of the work and advocacy of Retriever Courage, and our community commitment to preventing and responding to sexual misconduct and harassment, mandatory student and employee training was established in 2018. As part of our ongoing commitment to these efforts, and consistent with UMBC and University System of Maryland policy and State law, updated mandatory training will be assigned to all UMBC faculty and staff employees in the next few days and must be completed by December 11, 2020. The training consists of three parts and takes about one hour to complete.
Sexual misconduct and harassment training is required annually at UMBC for existing, returning, and new employees.
In the next few days, you will receive an email from SafeColleges, which will include the technical information about how to complete the training. If you have questions, please take a look at the Training FAQ or email oei@umbc.edu.
Thank you for your continued support in making UMBC a great place to work and learn!
